The current situation which is effecting events across the United Kingdom and Europe has resulted in the cancellation of hundreds of events over the past six months.

As a company we have seen the cancellation of three events over this period and our hope is now that looking to 2021 that the government comes up with a proper strategy for allowing these events to take place in 2021.

The cancellation of British Marine’s alternative COVID secure event the night before the show opened was quite astounding and our thoughts were with our colleges and friends, the organisers and everyone who lost out with this last minute change of heart. The impact of this decision made by Southampton Councils Public Health Department is now being felt by exhibition organisers across the UK who are left wondering if this could happen to them. On the face of it would seem that despite jumping through the hoops and carrying out months of planning these events can be dropped in the blink of an eye.

Looking to 2021 we received the news that one one of our favourite events in the show calendar was cancelled

The Scottish Caravan, Motorhome & Holiday Home Show

We are disappointed to share that the Scottish Caravan Motorhome & Holiday Home Show, due to take place in February 2021, is not able to take place as planned. This follows on from the confirmation that the SEC will continue to be in use as NHS Louisa Jordan throughout the winter and into spring 2021.

We have reviewed alternative dates and venues, but have not been able to find a solution. As such, we have concluded that unfortunately the 2021 event cannot go ahead.

We are of course deeply saddened to be making this announcement, but we hope you understand the reasoning behind it, and that you will join us in wishing the SEC and NHS Louisa Jordan all the best for the coming months. 

Although we cannot return to the SEC in February, we will be back from 3-6 February 2022 with another fantastic event.

This event has for the past 30 years kick started our season and will be sadly missed.

Looking to the positives we are actively looking for opportunities for exhibiting our boats in 2021 and are looking to sign up for the LOVE TOURING EXPO which runs from 4-7th February at P+J Live ( Aberdeen Exhibition Centre ), and return to the Southampton Boat Show from the 10th of September 21.
